Account Deletion
Use this page to delete your FindMyWish account and associated app data, or to request deletion of specific FindMyWish data while keeping your account.
Delete In The App
- Open FindMyWish.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion prompt.
This permanently closes your FindMyWish account. If you use this path, local account data on that device is also removed during sign-out cleanup.
Request Deletion By Email
If you cannot access the app or prefer to make a web request, email support@findmywish.com from the email address linked to your FindMyWish account. Use the subject "FindMyWish account deletion request".
Please include:
- The email address used for your FindMyWish account.
- Whether you want your whole account deleted or only specific app data deleted.
- If requesting deletion of specific data only, describe the data you want deleted.
Do not send passwords, authentication codes, payment details, or sensitive documents by email. We may reply to verify account ownership or clarify the request before processing deletion.
What We Delete Or Anonymize
After a valid account deletion request is verified, we delete or anonymize the FindMyWish account and associated app data from active production systems. This includes profile data, saved wishes, lists, tasks, habits, collections, tags, notes, saved URLs, attachments, sync records, and voice artifacts if any exist.
We also take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize account-linked data held by service providers where applicable, such as authentication, analytics, crash reporting, storage, and processing providers.
What May Be Retained
Some minimal records may be retained where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, audit records, backup integrity, or to prove that a deletion request was handled. Backup copies may remain until normal backup rotation completes, up to 90 days. Security and audit logs may be retained for up to 24 months. Minimal deletion request records may be retained for up to 3 years.
Timeline
Account deletion is irreversible. We aim to complete verified deletion or anonymization requests within 30 days, except where limited retention is required for the reasons above or where additional verification is needed.
